MOTEL - [Kacey]

New and upcoming artist Kacey stars in his own music video “motel” that portrays a similar story to his own life. Motel was a vision created to show his audience the struggles he underwent during a very low point. With this being his first debut single, director ElementsofDevin helped envision what it was like when Kacey was living out of a motel; bringing these deep emotions come to life. Based on true events, Kacey struggled heavily in finding someplace called home, whether that be physically and/or emotionally. With alcohol being a crutch, Kacey loses sight of his own happiness and falls into a deep hole creating turmoil for himself. With a unique twist, this video was shot backwards meaning the beginning and end are reversed in real time, which was also inspired by the movie Tenant. It was produced to show a different view point of how this story unfolds and to depict the dark experiences this artist faced while struggling “in a hotel lobby”.
