Rendezvous - [Kacey]

Kacey and I hit the road from Chicago to Austin to cover the 2023 Restless Music Fest — but while we were there, we decided to shoot something of our own. What started as a quick side project turned into one of my favorite visuals so far.

We first filmed in a garden just outside the city, but after looking back at the shots, the scenery wasn’t matching the energy of the track. So we switched it up, headed into the heart of Austin, and started running through the city with the camera. That change in location brought a whole new vibe to the video — raw, colorful, alive.

This was also the first time I played around with 3D modeling. I used diamonds as the visual theme — partly because they were in the first tutorial I watched, but also because they just fit the aesthetic. Something about that clean, reflective look paired perfectly with the run-and-gun street shots. Made everything tie together!
